Grace's Homecoming

Sunday, April 16, 2006

We took Grace on her first road trip which turned out to be a super long one. It took us 8 hours to get there because we had to stop many times. She did much better coming back because I think she decided everyone had to stay in a seat.

What a doll!!!!

Many times I look into Grace's eyes and wonder what she is thinking. I also think of her Mom and try to put myself in her place. I cannot imagine giving this beautiful, sweet little girl away. I pray for her also that she will be able to deal with her decision.

Barry leading us in worship on one of the Sunday mornings that we were unable to attend church.

Josiah and Samuel following in the Elmore musical tradition.

Grace loves to help at whatever you are doing. Mom had a project of rolling up a Hawaiian Punch container full of coins and of course, Grace wanted to help. She was actually quiet good at it. The boys were a big help also. When she got bored with putting the coins in the holder, she wanted to sit in my lap. Just behind me was a window air conditioner that was on. The look of happiness when the air hit her in the face was priceless. She likes to organize things like food on her high chair tray and toys. She has been a tremendous blessing to us.

Grace has been walking for a week now. It is amazing the transformation that has taken place in her. In China, she was scared of small toys and from the first time she met our 80 lb. Great Pyrenees she has not been scared. They are great friends. Grace has been a tremendous blessing to us.
